I found the journey rather relaxing as I took one of my new books (I got it at Christmas but that still counts as new, right?) called 'The Vogue Factor' written by Kirstie Clements. I love this book! So much so that I am currently writing a review and will post it tomorrow on my blog!
As for this post, I have a few snaps from my weekend to show you exactly who and what I was wearing:
Firstly, the photo below was taken in The Imperial Wetherspoons, toilet (no shame, they're literally so big!) so that I could get a full length shot of my dress. In fact, I like to call this my travelling dress (1 out of 3 I always travel in) as I find it super comfortable to sit in. It is very floaty so if you love to put your feet up, like me, nothing will be on show and you can remain dignified! I decided to pair this with my new Topshop pumps that I said in my previous post I'd wear at the weekend as they are so so comfortable - and I did! I stuck to my word!
Over the top, I threw on my pink and grey contrast jacket from Missguided because it is very light weight and can be easily thrown in a bag if I got too hot whilst shopping, and my grey and pink tartan Miss Selfridge scarf - I think there is a slight pattern occurring here...
Once we had completely shopped ourselves out, purchased what felt like the whole of Exeter and finally made it back to our room, it was borderline 6 pm so we knew we had to start getting ready for our evening.
*****The reason we had a little get away was because it's coming up to exam time, as I am sure a lot of you are aware therefore, we felt like it was important to do what we do best and shop all of our worries away before the exams begin! I'd say it was a pretty good idea as well, haha!*****
I must admit I wore something that is completely unheard of if I leave the house at night time: FLATS! I don't think I have ever worn flats out at night, not even if we're going to the cinema or just something casual, its so unlike me! But as you are now fully aware, I wore flats out! The result of this though...I look about 10 years old...I will never ever be doing that again.
This cute peter pan collared dress is from Newlook; their Parisian/AUX Paris range which I think I bought last year or the year before - there may even be a post including this dress - I'm not 100% sure. The jacket that I am wearing here is the Missguided one I mentioned above, which is super light and comfortable to sit in if you're a little chilly or easy to throw off if you're too hot. It is a great jacket; I need to wear it more often. The shoes, as you can see are probably one of the most worn pair I currently own and they are my new Topshop pumps.
This outfit was so easy to throw together, the pattern on the dress becomes the main focus as the shoes and jacket as so plain. The colours also compliment each other very well as I have used mainly blacks/whites so the pink becomes a statement colour while everything else just falls together.
I am going to be posting the new items that I bought over the weekend, all of which I am very excited to share! Hope you guys enjoyed this post .
