It was a very exciting day for me filled with high emotions, ranging from nervous to happy on a scale of 99% nervous and 1% happy. No, I had pretty even amounts of nervous and happy running through my body all morning, especially when I sat down in the reception awaiting the dreaded chat.
However, like I mentioned on my earlier post (London #1) I felt quickly at ease when I started talking to Zoe and that definitely settled the nerves; I started to feel more happy than nervous for a change.
Anyway, to the outfit. So below is a bunch of photos that I had taken quickly before I entered the building so I'm sorry if they aren't the most professional - I just knew that I had to show you guys my outfit.
Firstly, I actually purchase a different combination of clothes to wear to this interview, these items were Camel Crepe Culottes and a Petite Cream Scallop Edge Open Body both from Boohoo - I have linked the items so you can find them quickly to purchase (if you like). Unfortunately, the bodysuit had an open back, which was gorgeous and would be perfect for someone with B cup boobs and under, but not for me. My boobs are bigger than a B (we'll just say that!) therefore I was unable to wear the bodysuit in a flattering, professional way - it was more in a flirty, night out sort of way definitely which was not suitable.
My reason for not wearing the culottes is much less dramatic... due to the masses of rainfall that occurred both the night before and during the majority of the day on Thursday I thought it would be best not to wear camel as they would probably be dark brown by the time I got inside. Also! Another underwear malfunction occurred when trying on these culottes: it is so hard to find the right pants to wear under them. For some reason all of the underwear I own is seriously visible through these culottes, even no VPL pants. How does that happen? If you have a solution please share!!
But, how did you get to this concoction you wonder? Quite quickly and easily actually, I decided to stay rather reserved and formal with a pair of Primark straight leg, black 3/4 length trousers, a white chiffon cami and white courts. Simples. It was brilliant because I picked up the whole outfit for a bargain price of £13 - considering I already owned the shoes and cape, all I needed were the trousers and top - it really was brilliant!
I made a bad decision though, I obviously did not take a waterproof jacket for my trip to London so Thomas and I squeezed under an umbrella whilst walking around Soho so that we didn't get washed away by the rain, and I froze to death under this Topshop cape. Yes it is a thick material, but that does not matter when the rain is pouring and you are wearing a top with no sleeves.
Let me just remind you that my top was white...in the rain...yeah I should have changed that detail!
Now onto the photos...
My gorgeous white courts were also from Primark! Basically I was a big ball of Primark, haha, but I'm sure you will agree a decent amount of their products are of great quality and do actually last! Take these courts for example, I purchased these last year in Reading Primark, I think, and they are still as good as new. Honestly! Just because the price tag is low does not mean the item is low quality.
Be sure to keep an eye on my blog for more exciting posts guys! I hope you liked my outfit, if you have any recommendations on how I could improve it don't hesitate to comment below, I love feedback! Also, click the linked Boohoo items to discover what I had initially planned to wear.
