What they wore: Met Gala 2016

SO! We've had it again for another year, another red carpet full of the most beloved celebrities and fashion icons that we currently have, showcasing very questionable, bu t(some) very stylish combinations.

Back in October 2015, The Met Gala announced the theme for the 2016 show: Manus X Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology - such an exciting theme!

After the show on Sunday night, I think there was a rather mixed response about the dresses, some I did and did not agree with. I think it was just me that didn't like that many of them, which sounds negative, but I was just a little disappointed with the outcomes. However, obviously the ladies and gents just want to look their best so I reckon the theme was just a little out there for some.

Having said that, I do have my favourites - and actually there is quite a few considering I said I didn't like that many...here they are:

Anna Wintour wearing Chanel

Claire Danes wearing Zac Posen

Blake Lively wearing Burberry

Kyle Jenner wearing Balmain

Kate Hudson wearing Atelier Versace

Bella Hadid wearing Givenchy Haute Couture

Karolina Kurkova wearing Marchesa

Kendall Jenner wearing

Rita Ora wearing Vera Wang

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid attend "Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology" Costume Institute Gala at Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 2, 2016 in New York City.

 Not sure...
Beyonce...what can I say...I don't know if I completely hate this dress, or whether or not I do actually like it. I can't quite make up my mind. The colour is slightly off for Bey, I think, its more Barbie than Manus x Machina. Having said that I'm guessing that's what they were getting at with the beads...so I can understand it slightly...

Also, I feel bad for criticizing, but the eye make up? Green with a pink/nude dress? Really?

Likewise, my feelings for Demi's dress are also a bit off. I can't figure out if I like it or not? It definiely fits on with the space-like, silver, futuristic Manus x Machina theme. So well done for that. But, I'm not 100% if it was the best choice for her.

WORST:
Now, these dresses were most definitely the worst dresses I saw on Sunday night - I could even say that thy are the worst I have ever seen on a red carpet - and it also has to be said that there are probably more dresses that deserve to be on this list.

I do hate to slate as much as I have, but I just question what they, and their stylists were thinking? I know I'm not the worlds greatest stylist, but...these are just my opinions, do remember that!

Selena Gomez wearing Louis Vitton

Taylor Swift wearing Louis Vitton

Katy Perry wearing Prada

Lady Gaga wearing Atelier Versace

I hope that fans of those celebrities above (in the WORST category) don't completely hate me now, do keep in mind that these are just my opinions - everyone has them - so it's nothing personal.

On a positive note, I hope you loved the 'BEST'  dresses just as much as I do! I think they looked stunning and (some) matched the theme perfectly. A round of applause to their stylists.
