So today I have created my very FIRST makeup tutorial for you! It is the first of many that will be featuring on my blog and I am so so excited about it! The reason for this new feature is because I finally feel like I have really cracked the 'eyebrow game' - meaning that I am actually, finally happy with them! Finally!
I will be honest, I don't think it is a very complex routine - but we'll let you be the judge of that. So if you like the look of my eyebrows, then just keep reading.
1. So first I like to apply my foundation - this includes all steps before the actual foundation, such as moisturising, priming, colour correcting, concealing and so on... I have only recently started doing my foundation before my eyebrows and this has (somehow) changed the shape of them and made them look much thicker allowing me to shape them in a way I definitely prefer.
2. Once I have prepped my skin, I go in with my eyebrows products. These include:
- La Palette Sourcils De Chanel, Brow Powder Duo,
- Eco Tools Brow Shaping Kit incl. duo sided brush, lash & brow groomer,
- Collection Cosmetics Clear Brow Mascara from the powder Eyebrow Kit
So with these three products I begin to work my magic. Firstly, I brush through my brows using the lash & brow groomer. I do this in an upwards motion so that I know the hairs aren't clumped together.
3. Then I grab my Chanel powder duo; I use the shade 'Naturel' - a lot more of the darker shade than the blonde as I concentrate that at the front. I start in the centre of my brow and work towards the tail using the thinner end of my duo sided brow brush, first creating the shape underneath and then shaping the top. I like my brows quite structured so when shaping the top I try and form a point where the tail would grow down from (in a diagonal angle). You can see this in the photos above.
4. Next, I just do small brush strokes with the darker powder so that they look natural, and are not one blocked colour. This helps to define the brow hairs. As you can see below, my brow hairs are quite visible which I like.
5. Now, I gather some of the blonde powder onto my duo sided brush and start to work this into the front. Blending the blonde to where I began the dark brown so that the brow is completely filled in. I - as I know a lot of other people do - turn my brush so that the angle of the brush head (the thinner end of my duo brush) is facing down. In other words. the shorter end of the diagonal tip is going upwards first (the end I am pointing at below is the end I mean, I hope it makes sense!).
6. Finally, I brush through my brows with the clear brow mascara in an upward motion, and then as the hairs will now be pointing upwards I like to brush any wild hairs down with the gel, but making sure I leave the front hairs alone so that they're pointing upwards.
7. In order to clean up my brow and make sure there is no powder in the wrong place, I clean around the edges - on top and underneath - as this will then lead me to priming and prepping my eyes for any shadows.
So as I said, I don't think that my routine is that complex, but this is what makes it nice and easy and beneficial for those of you that have a rather rushed morning makeup routine, like me!
Stay tuned for more makeup routines as I really enjoyed writing this one!
